Say it
with Flowers
When you
feel tongue-tied and cannot write a single romantic sentence, it’s
flowers that play cupid for you.
When you want to make amends with
someone but cannot bring yourself to apologize, flowers say sorry for
you. When you want to wish ‘good health’ to an ill relative
or friend, words can never sound sincere enough. When a person you
know dies and you wish to offer condolences to the person’s family,
flowers become the most respectful and dignified way to say that you
share their grief.
Flowers are so ubiquitous
that we find them in nearly all areas of our life. One wonders whether
much of our poetry and art would have developed
if there were no flowers in this beautiful world of ours. One wonders,
even, if the word ‘beautiful’ could have preceded the word ‘world’ in
this essay, were it not for flowers.
Just as it is important
to use flowers to communicate a beautiful message, choosing the right
flower for the occasion is equally important. Else,
you may commit a floral ‘faux pas’. Here’s a brief
guide that will help you choose the appropriate flower from the seasonal
blooms.
